Job Description
Zewail City of Science, Technology and Innovation is seeking to hire a skilled and experienced Student Information System (SIS) Supervisor to join our team.
The SIS Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the management, optimization, and continuous improvement of our Student Information System to ensure it effectively supports the University's academic and administrative functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, a deep understanding of SIS platforms, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage, maintain, and administer the Student Information System (SIS), specifically Power Campus.
- Identify system issues, perform troubleshooting, and implement effective solutions related to the SIS.
- Develop customized SSRS reports as requested, ensuring they meet business users’ requirements.
- Oversee transcript updates in accordance with institutional policies, including the calculation and reporting of student grades and GPAs.
- Provide support and solutions for bulk data uploads into the SIS.
- Manage user access and permissions within the SIS based on individual roles and responsibilities.
- Monitor system usage and database health to ensure optimal performance.
- Analyze system and data usage patterns to deliver accurate recommendations and implement improvements for enhanced workflow efficiency.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of technical experience working with Student Information Systems (SIS).
- Proven hands-on experience with Power Campus is required.
- Experience with Banner, Oracle Student Cloud, or other similar SIS platforms is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of database management, SQL, and reporting tools such as SSRS.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting, system analysis, and process improvement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in managing user roles, access permissions, and system security.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously with strong organizational skills.
- Knowledge of higher education administrative processes and student data management is preferred.
- Experience in data migration, integration, and bulk data handling within SIS environments is a plus.
