Job Description

  • Installing, configuring, and maintaining hardware, software, and network administration systems.
  • Troubleshooting IT issues, resolving system outages, and providing technical support.
  • Monitoring system performance and ensuring optimal uptime for all IT resources.
  • Managing IT security protocols to protect systems from potential threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Assisting with data backups, disaster recovery planning, and implementation.
  • Managing inventory for IT equipment and recommending necessary upgrades or replacements.
  • Documenting IT policies, procedures, and troubleshooting guides for internal use.
  • Conducting periodic system analysis and audits to ensure compliance with organisational IT standards.
  • Collaborating with other departments to understand technology requirements and integrate new technologies.

Job Requirements

  • BA Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of demonstrable experience as an IT specialist or in technical support, system analysis, network administration, or a related role.
  • Proficiency in operating systems (Windows,…) and network technologies.
  • Knowledge of network administration protocols, firewalls, and IT security best practices.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for hardware and software issues.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles and data protection practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders and assist users with varying technical proficiency.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team to manage IT projects.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Familiarity with IT help desk systems and ticketing tools.
