Job Description

Summary:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Tubular Inspector to support our onshore inspection operations. The ideal candidate will have technical expertise in inspecting OCTG, drill pipe, and BHA tools using EMI and other NDT methods, in accordance with industry standards such as API 5CT, API 5D,  and DS-1. This includes detailed inspections of Tubing, Casing, Sucker rods, Drill Pipe, and BHA components.
Responsibilities:
• Perform EMI, UT, MT, and VT inspections on drill pipes, HWDP, BHA components, and OCTG.
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain inspection systems such as Rotomac, KEMA, or similar EMI units.
• Conduct visual thread inspection, identifying galling, corrosion, and mechanical damage.
• Evaluate and classify defects in line with API RP 5A5, API 5CT, API 5D, and DS-1 standards.
• Record and manage detailed pipe tally sheets, ID markings, and traceability documentation.
• Inspect hardbanding, internal plastic coating (IPC), and tool joint conditions.
• Support yard audits, pre-loadout checks, and client call-outs.
• Generate accurate inspection reports with digital logs and photos for client submission.
• Participate in safety briefings and ensure full HSE compliance.
• Assist in mobilization and demobilization of inspection tools.
• Mentor junior inspectors when needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized inspection area and ensure proper handling of rejected materials.
• Coordinate and distribute daily inspection tasks among team members to ensure efficient workflow.
• Oversee routine maintenance and inventory control of inspection tools and equipment.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in tubular and drill pipe inspection.
• Valid NDT certifications in EMI, MT, UT, PT, and VT (ASNT Level II / PCN or equivalent).
• Practical knowledge of EMI inspection processes and equipment.
• Familiarity with API 5CT, API 5D, and DS-1 specifications.
• Experience inspecting a variety of pipe and tool types (e.g., casing, tubing, drill pipe, collars, Sucker rods, BHA).
• Strong English communication and report-writing skills.
• Physically fit and able to work in field conditions.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and inspection-related software.
