Job Description
- Responsible for design, coordination, and execution of all Electrical activities on the project.
- Prepare material takeoff to support project estimation.
- Coordinating with clients, subcontractors, project manager and Other Discipline Engineers.
- Prepare, Review and approval of all Electrical material submittal and shop/fabrication drawings.
- Prepare, review and checking job specifications and data sheets in accordance with project standards requirements and contractual requirements for purchase of materials and equipment.
- Technical bid evaluation and recommend technically compliant offers for procurement
- Vendor document review and implement vendor data in design package
- Prepare, Review and checking electrical calculations and power system studies.
- Design of facilities as per project specification, Contract scope, applicable codes and standards.
- Develop design drawings, design calculations, documents, and study reports.
- Review design deliverables and participate design review meetings with client.
- Perform discipline check on the deliverables developed to ensure quality.
- Coordinate with design team to carryout design activities
- Coordinate with site team, provide technical support and clarification to resolve queries during construction.
- Technical evaluation of design packages, verify and develop Bill of quantities
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized University or Equivalent professional qualification.
- 5 – 8 years experience in design of Electrical facilities.
- Conversant with International Design Codes of Practice, including American, British Standards and Saudi Aramco standards and SABIC standards.
- Hands on experience in electrical design for oil and gas, petrochemical and refinery facilities.
- Develop Electrical Area classification drawings based on international standards and implementation in the design
- Conversant with design codes and experience in the design of Electrical systems
- Conversant with electrical load study, arc flash studies and review study reports
- Conversant with industry standard software, such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, Cad Worx, SP3D, Navisworks review and others
- Experience in design and preparation of specification of cable ladder/ tray systems, earthing, lightning protection, motor control centers, equipment grounding, bus ducts, Power distribution system, transformer, Switchgear, Switchrack, Variable Frequency drives, UPS / battery system, capacitor bank, pump control, fire alarm, emergency lighting, and Solar Power system.
- Conversant with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Saudi Aramco Projects experience (preferable)
