The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Materials and Processes Engineer to join our dynamic Electronics Solutions unit. You will play a pivotal role in multidisciplinary engineering teams, developing and implementing material selections, manufacturing processes, and qualification procedures for critical mechanical components used in our complex radar and communication systems.

In this strategic role, you will be instrumental in expanding our technical capabilities by introducing innovative materials and processes during the design phase. You will also play a key role in developing and collaborating with manufacturing suppliers within the region.

Responsibilities

• Translate general system requirements into objective environmental and manufacturing constraints.
• Select and specify materials and finishes for structural applications, considering mechanical, thermal, and electrical properties, with a focus on corrosion resistance in demanding environments.
• Define and map out efficient manufacturing process for mechanical components.
• Develop and execute comprehensive testing and qualification programs to validate the performance and reliability of structural and thermal systems.
• Participate in the integration and testing processes of prototypes, subsystems, and products.
• Assist in the selection and development of manufacturing suppliers in the region.
• Formulate and maintain company’s technical standards and specifications for materials and processes.

Your Profile

You have a natural curiosity for technology and engineering, with a desire to constantly develop yourself and the way you work. You work effectively in a team and can manage your tasks independently, taking initiative, ownership, and accountability.

Required Formal Qualifications, Experience and Background

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, materials, aerospace, or related engineering disciplines.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical design, materials, or manufacturing engineering in highly regulated industries.
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English.

Required Technical Competencies

• Deep understanding of mechanical properties of metallic materials, thermal management principles, corrosion mechanisms & control, and manufacturing processes of both metallic and composite materials.
• Expertise in surface and coating technology in metallic and composite materials.
• Proven experience in defining test requirements and evaluating experimental results.
• Ability to clearly define technical specifications of materials and manufacturing processes.
• Familiarity with engineering development cycles.
• In-depth knowledge in selection and application of ISO, EN and MIL standards and technical specifications of materials and processes.
• Operational proficiency in configuration control, change management, and design data structure.

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around security protection.
