Roles & Responsibilities:

• Leading and executing Mechanical, HVAC, Plumbing & Firefighting designs: Spearhead the complete mechanical design process ensuring adherence to required standards and quality.
  
• Designing treatment plants and pumping stations: Develop mechanical designs for treatment plants and pumping stations according to PWA standards and quality as assigned by the team lead.
  
• Conceptual design development: Initiate and develop concept designs with optioneering for comprehensive Mechanical, HVAC, Plumbing & Firefighting systems designs.
  
• Report writing: Demonstrate excellent report writing skills to communicate design concepts effectively and findings.
  
• Calculation and spreadsheet preparation: Prepare and generate spreadsheets for carrying out necessary calculations in the design process.
  
• Coordination with other disciplines: Collaborate with other Discipline Engineers to ensure seamless integration of mechanical designs with other project elements.
  
• Coordination with BIM/CAD Technicians: Liaise with BIM/CAD Technicians to ensure project requirements and timelines are met.
  
• Client and project meetings: Conduct client and project meetings as required to discuss progress and address any concerns.
  
• Network analysis: Perform steady-state and surge analysis modeling for pressurized networks as necessary.
  
• Regulatory compliance: Ensure all designs meet statutory and regulatory requirements.
  
• Support project submittals: Assist in the preparation and submission of project documents and No Objection Certificates (NOC) to relevant authorities.
  
• Resource allocation: Allocate resources and time effectively to meet project deadlines and milestones.
  
• Technical proficiency: Stay updated with relevant technical developments within the discipline to enhance design capabilities.
  
• Contractual understanding: Understand the contract and scope of project deliverables to ensure alignment with client expectations.
  
• Health & Safety: Ensure that Health & Safety protocols are integrated into all work practices in accordance with company policies.
  
• Reporting: Provide regular work status updates, including risks or concerns, to Seniors or MEP manager.
  
• Meeting participation: Attend and contribute to team and project meetings as required.
  
• Time management: Complete accurate time sheets by set deadlines to facilitate project tracking and billing processes.
  
• Additional duties: Take on additional duties as assigned by management to support project objectives and organizational go
  

Desired Candidate Profile:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  
• At least 8 to 15 years of overall experience in mechanical design engineering.
  
• Extensive experience in design development.
  
• Advanced proficiency in relevant software including AutoCAD, BIM/Revit, HAP, Elite, Watergems, etc.
  
• Thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations.
  
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  
• Extensive experience in Doha/Qatar is highly preferred.
