Job Title: Estimation & Procurement EngineerLocation: Abu DhabiSalary: AED 6,000 - 7,000Job Code: 275/002/890Industry: HVAC / MEPJob Brief:Our client in the HVAC/MEP industry is seeking a detail-oriented Estimation and Procurement Engineer to support the cost estimation and procurement process for upcoming HVAC projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing technical documents, preparing project costings, and managing supplier relationships to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of materials. This role requires a strong understanding of HVAC systems, local market pricing, and vendor negotiation.Job Responsibilities:Study and analyze project drawings, specifications, and BOQs related to HVAC systems.Prepare accurate cost estimates, take-offs, and quotations for tenders and ongoing projects.Float RFQs/RFPs to vendors and subcontractors and ensure timely receipt of offers.Evaluate supplier quotations for technical compliance and commercial competitiveness.Prepare technical and commercial comparisons to support bid decisions.Negotiate terms, pricing, and delivery timelines with vendors.Maintain a database of qualified vendors and regularly update material price lists.Coordinate with engineering and project teams to align procurement with project requirements.Prepare and issue LPOs, procurement schedules, and long lead item reports.Ensure procurement activities meet project timelines, budgets, and specifications.Monitor and manage risks related to delays or material availability.Job Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.3–5 years of UAE-based experience in HVAC estimation and procurement.Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, components, and the local supplier market.Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and estimation software such as PlanSwift.Excellent negotiation and communication skills.Strong vendor management and documentation skills.Good written and spoken English.
