SQL Developer

Position ObjectivesDesigning and developing stable and reliable database management systems.Maintenance, and optimization of the databases for performance and data integrity.Interaction with other members of a cross-functional team to implement requirements.Developing Extraction, Transformation and Load (ETL) tasks using SSIS, SSRS and any other appropriate tool or technology.Working with Power BI developers to create reports and dashboardsJob Description & Responsibilities: Develop and maintain backend database solutions using SQL and PostgreSQL.Design and implement database schemas that align with application requirements.Perform data modelling to ensure the database's efficiency, integrity, and performance.Write and optimize complex SQL queries for data retrieval, modification, and deletion.Implement security measures to safeguard sensitive data.Collaborate with software developers and system architects to integrate database solutions with front-end applications and other components.Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand and address database-related requirements.Reduce average query execution time to enhance application responsiveness.Regularly optimize the database to enhance overall system performance.Accuracy and completeness of project data analysis and reporting.Timeliness and quality of project data visualization and dashboards.Document database design, processes, and configurations.Qualifications & Experience:Bachelors or Master’s in quantitative fields like Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or Engineering. Minimum 8 Years of experience in MS SQL.Minimum 3 Years of experience working with PostgreSQL.Should have knowledge and experience in prototyping, designing, and requirement analysis.Should have a deep understanding of database design fundamentals, including relational database design, and multidimensional database design.Should have a good grasp of ETL concepts including SSRS, SSIS and SSAS.Familiar with the mathematical foundations of modern machine learning algorithms and statistics.Excellent in analytical thinking for translating data into informative visuals and developing automated reports, dashboards and KPI scorecards using Power BI and other reporting tools.Knowledge of database tools management concepts like monitoring, security, backup and recovery.Strong knowledge of TSQL and data manipulation tool. Good knowledge of data extraction, load, and validation through Python and other scripting languages.Good understanding of data models, structure, and types. Good experience in data quality and sanity controls.
