ResponsibilitiesJob Description:Provide subject matter expertise across Oracle infrastructure environmentsDevelop high-availability design, configuration, and maintenance strategiesProvide senior-level technical troubleshooting and resolution for complex issues that may cross multiple Oracle technologiesCapture, define and document architectural requirementsEngineer cost effective solutions to meet business challengesCloning, patching, and upgrading Oracle technologiesDevelop scripts for automation and troubleshootingWork collaboratively with Infrastructure , system administration , application support and applications development teams to ensure smooth planning, coordination and cooperation for the common tasksCreate and maintain documentationCommunicate changes, problems, solutions to other technical staffReports the progress of the tasks to project manager/ delivery managerMentor less experienced personnelPerform other duties as assignedJob Technical SkillsInstalls, patch and administer for different versions of oracle databases and different operating systemsMigrate/upgrade databases between different versions and different operating systemsDesign/implement backup strategies for different purpose of recovery (RMAN backup/restore, RMAN duplicate, data pump)Install/configure oracle clients for different versions and operating systemsTroubleshooting/monitoring the databases issuesBasic knowledge of UNIX/Linux commandsManage and install APEX oracle products with different versionsAssist with other infrastructure departments to ensure that associated hardware resources are allocated to the databases and ensures high availability and optimum performanceProvide root cause analysis for the incident and problemsPerform performance tuningRun database health checksInstall, configure and troubleshoot Oracle Golden Gate OGG issuesInstall, configure and troubleshoot Oracle Oracle Data Integrator ODI issuesWorking in shift and on-call supportOccasionally, might work at customer site based on the project needMigrate/upgrade databases from on premise to AWS cloud (RDS) ) (Optional)Managing Non-Oracle databases (MySQL, MariaDB, ..., etc.).
