Job DescriptionWe are constantly growing and looking for an experienced Project Controls Manager to join our international Operations Control team, working on our newly awarded Oil & Gas projects in UAE (ASAB Project, Jebel Dhanna area).Would you like to be part of a dynamic EPC leader with global presence? We’d like to meet you!Role summary:Reporting directly to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating all Project Controls activities either performed directly or through sub-contractors to ensure that the works are carried out in accordance with the construction schedule, within budget and project quality requirements.Sounds exciting? Read on.What you will need to do: Assign responsibilities within your team so as to ensure the best possible deliveryEnsure proper scope management of the project in cooperation with the Project Manager, Operations Controls Manager and Contract ManagerEstablish and maintain a valid, detailed and resource-loaded project schedule in cooperation with the other project department heads, the project manager, and the respective division team. Monitor the progress of the works (including the one of subcontractors) identifying and communicating areas of concern and proposing mitigation plansEnsure the data collecting system for planning, invoicing, controlling and reporting; prepare the contractually foreseen reports as well as the Company’s internal project control reports as per Company’s proceduresEstablish the invoicing procedure and supervise its proper implementationEstablish the cost control system in co-operation with the Commercial Manager as per Company’s procedures and supervise its proper application; ensure the smooth co-operation with all the sections of the Project.Ensure proper control over the Project performance compared to the tender and/or budgetEnsure proper control of subcontractors’ invoicesActively support building and maintaining positive customer relationships with Employer’s and Engineer’s representativesEnsure people are being trained and developed and prevent work related conflictsIdentify problem areas and promote corrective actionsContinuously improve the performance of company operationsAssess risks to maintain the risk profile within set limitsWhat you will need to have: University degree in EngineeringAt least 15 years relevant experience including 5 years management experience in construction industry at similar levelExperience in EPC Projects above US$ 100M with ADNOC (or equivalent) is essential with involvement in all project phases (Engineering, Procurement & Construction)Previous employment with leading EPC contractors is highly preferableCapability to perform under stressful situationsSubstantial cost estimation, cost control, planning, risk management and contractual knowledgeEngineering, procurement, construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning awarenessFluency in the English languageKnowledge of project management toolsKnowledge of basic financial conceptsWhat's in it for you:Expat package is on the shelf, yet the real joy comes from being a member of smart and passionate teams, within an international leading EPC Group on a mission that matters.
