Senior Technical Project Manager

Role OverviewWe are seeking a Procurement Manager with experience of MEA markets and regulations to establish and manage relationships with global and regional suppliers to ensure we have an end to end Supply Chain to support Network projects in the region. You will work with the local PMO, Senior PMs and Project Managers to ensure hardware is available on budget and on time to deliver the customer projects. You will negotiate supplier agreements and pricing to ensure best value for Planet/Hoist projects. You will work with the Regional Finance Director to ensure that project budgets are maintained.What You Will DoDevelop category strategies to fit current and future requirementsLiaise with the key stakeholders based on the agreed areas to:Understand technical requirementsEnsure a structured and data-driven sourcing processDrive logical and fact-based decisions in terms of supplier selection, ensuring TCO is minimised/ tangible and quantifiable benefits are maximisedUse the approved sourcing methodology to finalise the projectsFacilitate setup and operation of cross-functional project teams to support sourcing projects and the subsequent implementationIdentify and screen potential supplier baseShortlist suppliers and conduct RFP/RFQs, optimizing/creating and using Planet standard toolsDevelop evaluation models and score responses, present findings and agree shortlists for negotiation stagePrepare and manage a fact-based negotiation process and supplier selection based on total cost/valueBenchmark, track savings and restart assessment cycleAssess company spend (what is bought, where, at what prices?) to identify areas of opportunity: estimate potential savings, assess ease of capture, and outline yearly sourcing planManage supplier relationships on behalf of Planet by:Ensuring suppliers adherence to agreed T&CDevelop improvement plans for non-performing suppliers and /or identify alternativesMonitor overall performance and look for new opportunities that will bring the costs down and/or improve the quality of the deliverablesEnsure structured supplier performance and compliance feedbackEnsure adherence to category strategies, guidelines, and policies with timely escalation to the Head of Operations - MEA Region for non-compliance issues that do not find resolution.Who You AreResults focused – Good track record in consistent delivery of results in previous positionsAnalytical skills – Can analyse procurement data and draw conclusions to develop and implement a fact-based sourcing strategy without supportChange management – Energized by a change challenge, having the tenacity and perseverance to drive change through, using an optimal mix of bottom up and top down approaches to achieve the resultsCommunication skills – Able to articulate results and ideas in a concise manner using a variety of media and formats, and be persuasive and convincing in front of a challenging audienceTeam player - Enthusiastic to work with others in a team, keen to enhance your procurement team skillsCritical Experience And CompetenciesA sound understanding and use of procurement best practice across diverse indirect spend categories.Proven track record of successful project management and/or savings delivery in a fast-paced procurement functionExperience of working on a project basis, leading, and implementing a broad range of purchasing projectsSuccessful track record of leading complex negotiationsExperience of working in an international, multi-cultural environmentComfortable with end-to-end procurement platformsPlanet is an equal opportunity employer where diversity is valued, and all employment is decided based on qualifications, merit, and business need.Come and grow your career in the most exciting, fast paced technology market, with a business that delivers feel-good connected commerce.We would love to hear from you – Apply now.
