FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER - AUTOMATION

Our Field Service Engineers are in the first line when it comes to representing Kongsberg to our worldwide customers. To further strengthen our team, we are looking for a Field Service Engineer to join our Global Customer Support (GCS) department at Dubai in United Arab Emirates.Working as a Field Service Engineer, we expect you to do installation and commissioning of Kongsberg’s AutoChief Propulsion Control Systems, K-Chief Marine Automation & Machinery products and other Kongsberg vessel systems on vessels and in shipyards around the world. You will also perform on-call & planned services and maintenance on sailing ships, as well as in-house technical support to our customers. If you have the required qualifications and if you also identify with our values; determined, innovative, collaborative, and reliable, and are highly motivated for worldwide travel & support activities, you may be the person we are looking for.Key AccountabilitiesInstallation and commissioning of our Automation and Machinery products/systemsPerform tasks for system maintenance and performance assessments.Provide technical support to internal and external customers.Support troubleshooting, configuring & repairing the products and other connected units as applicablePerform on-call services, system acceptance tests, installation, commissioning, upgrades, onboard training, fault analysis and rectification work at customer sites and installations.Be able and willing to perform emergency call-out services (including non-office hours; if applicable) to provide customers with fast and efficient services within UAE and worldwide.Execute the requested job in the best way to meet customer’s deadlines and expectations.To be able to work closely with Product center for timely updates and for continuous knowledge improvisation.Qualifications And ExperienceBachelor’s degree or equivalent in one or more of the following: electronics, instrumentation, or mechatronicsMinimum 3 years field experience in similar role in marine industry.Willingness to travel on short noticeFluent in English, both written and orallyHighly motivated for worldwide travel & support activitiesMeet the health requirements that apply for offshore workYou are able toBe service minded, and customer focusedAct on your initiative, make things happen, and accept responsibility for the resultsAdhere to company rules and procedures and execute plans with commitment and determinationUse a methodical and systematic approach, plan ahead, define clear priorities to complete tasks.Analyze complex issues and problems and come up with rational judgments and solutionsCooperate well with others, share knowledge, experience, information, and support others in the pursuit of team goalsWhat We Can Offer YouAs a field service engineer you will get a chance to work with leading technology in an industry which is working towards more environment friendly and green solutions.
