As the Account Director, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction and support to clients in driving short-term sales and building long-term brand value.What you'll be doing:Exercise overall quality control over accounts and ensure successful implementation of client objectivesBuild and maintain internal processes and relationships to efficiently meet client needsWork closely with clients to understand their business needs and objectives, set strategies, and ensure executionAnticipate opportunities and plan for the unexpectedFoster constructive work environment and teamwork within the account teamTrain and motivate team members by developing their abilitiesManage financial upkeep of the account by ensuring efficiency and undertaking financial negotiationsAct as a strategic partner to the account's planner by bringing insightful and relevant information to developmentRegularly report to Business Director on daily operations of the accountUnderstand customer requirements and generate new businessEnsure timely delivery of services and products to clientsResolve issues to maintain and strengthen customer trustCommunicate overall quarterly/annual progress to senior management and external stakeholdersWhat you'll need:BS/BA in marketing or advertising specializationMinimum 6 years of experience in Account Management within an agencyStrong computer skills, including Microsoft OfficeExcellent project management and time management skillsExceptional presentation and writing skillsAbility to judge creative and provide effective feedbackAttention to detail and strong communication skillsFlexibility and problem-solving skillsResourceful in finding informationUnderstanding and appreciation of great advertising and good creative judgmentGeneral awareness of society and interest in brandsEntrepreneurial spirit and team playerDemonstrable experience in negotiation and meeting client requirementsSolid understanding of budgeting and reporting on progressWillingness to travel upon requestIf you are a motivated individual with a passion for advertising and a proven track record in account management, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity at VML.At VML, we are committed to fostering an all-inclusive work environment that is both rewarding and career-forward.
