Job Description

OverviewElement has an opportunity for a Welding Inspector who will be primarily responsible for managing welding inspection operations for various projects across the region. The role will also be responsible for efficient project management, team building and customer service.ResponsibilitiesInspect and test welded joints for welding procedure and performance qualifications as per international welding codesVerify alignment and dimensions of product and set up of machines and fixtures used for work in progressMonitor welders at work in the project sites recommending scrapping/re-workRecord inspection dataAnalyse x-ray photographs of welding joints and review NDT reportsWork efficiently with subcontractors and clientsSkills / QualificationsEngineering graduateMetallurgy/MechanicalPQR and WQT approvalsCertificationCSWIP 3.15 year inspection experience in a relevant work environment with last 2 years at a senior levelPrevious experience of building and leading teamsStrong and determined quality focus with indefatigable determination to get the job done under the most challenging conditionsSelf-motivated team player with excellent organizational skillsPossess exceptional communication skillsCompany OverviewElement is one of the fastest growing testing, inspection and certification businesses in the world.
