DescriptionBADRI is looking to hire a qualified health actuary for its UAE Office. The candidate with lead BADRI’s health consulting assignments across the GCC and wider MENA region. The role involves end to end responsibility for the health practice, business development as well as service delivery, leading a team of enthusiastic actuarial analysts.BackgroundBADRI is a leading regional consulting firm providing actuarial consulting along with a suite of other services including Financial Services, HR Consulting, BI analytics, Data management, compliance, strategic consulting and other areas. Headquartered in UAE, the Company has a footprint across most of the GCC and Pakistan, as well as parts of Africa.Key ResponsibilitiesTo lead and manage the overall health insurance consulting actuarial practice.Business Development for the health consulting segment, create new leads, follow up existing leads and develop a pipeline.Supervise the work done by the team with respect to quantified analytics for health insurance portfolios.Present the work output to end users in the form of visual presentations.Responsible for overall project management and client managementEducational RequirementsA bachelors’ degree in actuarial science, statistics, mathematicsQualified Fellow actuary from a recognized international actuarial body like SOA, IFOA, etc.Knowledge of Tools such as MS Office, Python, R, etc and/or any other data analytical toolsExperience And Skill RequirementsMinimum of 10 years of actuarial experience, with a focus on health insurance related workStrong analytical skills, to read stories from numbers.Strong communication and presentation skillsKnowledge and practical experience of health insurance pricing and health care modelsKnowledge and practical experience of health insurance reservingConsulting work will require the ability to work under pressure of tight deadlines and balance client and team expectationsAbility to make independent decisions and lead delivery of projectsJob includes traveling across the GCC and Africa.
