IT Technician - Erbil

Job PurposeJob PurposeTo restore normal IT service operations within agreed service levels and business priorities and minimize the adverse impact on business operations for dnata and external clients. Accountabilities Focus on Results Focus on People.AccountabilitiesFocus on Results▪ Plans and ensures implementations of all the IT help desk support related activities.▪ Health and safety responsibilities▪ Installing and configuring hardware and software components to ensure usability.▪ Upgrading the entire system to enable compatible software on all computers.▪ Troubleshooting hardware and software issues.▪ Maintain records/logs of repair and fixes.▪ Daily maintenance of CheckIn/Gate Hardware,▪ Repairing or replacing damaged hardware.▪ Providing L1 support to users and being the first point of contact for error reporting.▪ Inspection of all Signage display to ensure no downtime.▪ Creating, updating, and maintaining seat map in Maestro.▪ Proper Handover of work after shift.▪ Establishing good relationships with all departments and colleagues.▪ Managing technical documentation.▪ Troubleshooting Network related issues.▪ Responsible for the health and safety duty of care at the workplace.▪ Ensure to report any hazards, injuries, ill-health or near miss to your supervisor or employer.▪ Cooperate with your employer when they require something to be done for health and safety at the workplaceFocus on People▪ VMV: Drives the dnata Vision, Mission and Values in the business and models the behaviours and intent of the VMV’s in all people leadership practices.▪ Managing Performance: Sets clear and measurable objectives for direct reports at a function or department level on an annual basis in line dnata framework and process. Drives performance accountability and enables the team to achieve through appropriate support and resourcing.▪ Reward & Recognition: Partners with HR to set effective reward and recognition initiatives, that drive a high-performance culture (in line with dCGM limits)▪ Talent Management: Partners with HR to ensure effective Talent Management and Succession Planning are in place to mitigate the risks of skills gaps.▪ Safety: Leads with safety as a priority, ensuring all decisions are made with safety in mind. Role models safety behaviours and holds direct reports accountable for fulfilling their roles in line with dnata’s safety rules and best practice▪ Behaviour: acts as a role model for the leadership team and wider organisation in all people and customer interactions.Qualifications & ExperienceKnow How, Skills, Experience & Competencies▪ Bachelor’s degree or Diploma holder in a related field▪ 1-2 years of experience in IT Technical related role.▪ 1 year of Aviation Industry work experience will be an advantage.Role Specific Qualifications Or LicensesEnglish language test level 4 required with a passing grade of 60%▪ Excellent Written and Verbal skills.▪ Good problem-solving skills.▪ Attention to detail.▪ Certification as IT Technician will be an advantage.▪ Basic Office 365 Application skills.Soft Skills, Communication & Influencing SkillsTeamwork▪ Initiative▪ Motivation▪ Work ethics
