About 5,000 employees from 84 nations are currently realizing the projects of our customers with professional knowledge and intercultural experience.Responsibilities:Responsible for leading the Metro Modernization Project and ensuring that all aspects relating to the Program Life Cycle are considered, strategized, and implemented in a timely and effective mannerAdvise the client in project procurement, implementation, supervision, and commissioning according to international standardsSupport the Client in setting-up project procedures system, financial management system, project management system and reporting to IFI’sOverall responsibility for the successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling and project closureComplete projects in time within budget & scope and oversee all aspects of projects. Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor and summarize progress of a projectPrepare reports for upper management regarding project statusManage stakeholders’ requirements and ensure that they are addressed during the design, procurement, installation, testing and commissioning phases through delegation to a team of managers and specialistsOversee the Contract Management, Railway Systems, Risk Management, Scheduling Management, Safety Assurance, and Project RequirementsConduct regular Project Team meetings to provide project updates/progress and follow up on relevant information with external parties and the ClientQualifications:B.Sc. degree in civil engineering or similar, related to railway/signalling/electrical engineeringMinimum 15 years’ experience in metro rehabilitation and construction supervision of metro rehabilitation/transport projects with atleast 8 years as project manager or team leader for similar projectsPrevious experience with comparable projects in the Middle East region would be advantageExperience in managing & leading multidisciplined project teams and abiding to processes and procedures to obtain favorable project resultsPrincipal technical knowledge in state-of-the art signalling and train control systems (Communications-Based Train Control (CBTC), Centralized Control System (CCS), etc.)Fluent in English and preferably in Arabic, including writing and presenting information in the appropriate formats to various StakeholdersProven experience in working on projects financed by International Financial Institutions (e.g. EBRD, EIB, WB, ADB, etc.) and with IFI's procurement rules and FIDIC conditions of contract (yellow book, ed. 1999)IT Literate and experienced with office applications, e.g. MS Office, Internet Explorer, and MS Share Point OnlineDriving license required to perform assigned duties
