MGT- Commissioning & Controls Field Engineer – ServiceHow You Will Make An ImpactCarry out preventative and corrective maintenance tasks on Siemens Energy products. Carry out Controls Installation & Commissioning activities on newly installed equipment and during service-related maintenance/Upgrades.Carry out trouble-shooting and rectifying faults. Understand packaged and ancillary equipment.Work Safely and in accordance with the companies written operating instructions.To take part in product training programs to ensure continued role competency and/or development.Produce technical reports, based on work conducted and recommendations required to resolve customer issues, and/or improve system reliability and availability.Take part in root cause analysis and fault diagnostics as required.Open to travelling as the work requires attendance at both on-shore and off-shore assignments.Ability to complete offshore survival and firefighting course.What You BringWe are looking for a degree level in Mechanical, Electrical, Electromechanical, or Equivalent Education or have vocational qualifications in electrical and/or controls systems in these cases with at least 5 years of related engineering experience or in a similar role.We are seeking highly motivated and experienced individuals to commission, fault find, maintain and service equipment we have supplied to our customers.You are considered to have a professional, proactive, and flexible approach to your work.Have a strong work ethic and able to demonstrate initiative, be a flexible self-starter, working with the minimum direction and could work with a wide range of people as well as be a team player.Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsYou will have worked in an Instrumentation and Controls discipline, ideally on multiple controls platforms, including HMI systems and panel based electrical systems.Able to interpret piping and installation drawings, general engineering drawings and controls schematics.Ability to mobilize at short notice for emergency situations as well being away from home for extended periods including weekends.Extensive travel will be required for this position 80% within domestic and international.Hold or be able to obtain offshore working certificates.Excellent and professional communication skills both written and oral. This includes the ability to hold difficult discussions with customers to protect company interests.Hold a valid passport and driving license.Have experience of using Virtual, RDS and tooling associated with the work is preferred.Cross product knowledge and experience on SGT/TCP/AGT will be an added advantage.
