Network Engineer – Journeyman

CPMG offers flexible, integrative solutions for Department of Defense (DoD) contractors, among others, and specializes in cybersecurity, information and operational technology, electronic security surveillance, and support services.Summary:The Network Engineer will design, implement and work maintenance of the organization’s network, network design, architecture, protocols, and topology .ResponsibilitiesEssential Job Functions: Engineering enterprise data, voice and video networks Establishing and operating network test facilities Maintaining a secure transfer of data to multiple locations via internal and external networks Working with vendors, the Government, carriers, and technical staff on network implementation, optimization, and ongoing management Providing high-level support and technical expertise in networking technology, including LAN/WAN hardware, switches, bridges, and routers Possesses and applies expertise on multiple complex work assignments Assignments may be broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks Operates with appreciable latitude in developing methodology and presenting solutions to problems Contributes to deliverables and performance metrics where applicable #CJQualificationsNecessary Skills and Knowledge: Must be detail-oriented and have in-depth knowledge of networking hardware and software Customer service and solutions oriented Critical thinking and problem solving skills Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor degree in a STEM field or equivalent years of experience 3 -5 years of related experience Extensive experience in areas such as network design and implementation, LAN/WAN interfacing, security, Internet protocols and TCP/IP, and server and network infrastructure is required Top Secret Personnel clearance with eligibility for access to SCI Preferred Qualifications: A professional certification, such as Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE), also is highly desirable Pay And BenefitsAt Goldbelt, we value and reward our team's dedication and hard work.
