Senior Data Scientist

Job DescriptionSenior Data Scentist ResponsibilitiesThe lead data science projects and successfully deliver multiple data science solutions along with other data scientists on the teamBuild end-to-end machine learning solutions (POC to Production), including regularly testing and maintain analytical models to improve efficiency and keep up with changing business needsImplement scalable machine learning and optimization algorithms that will be used in production on big data.Liaise with clients’ stakeholders to understand the business problems and devise data science solutions to tackle them.Identify the pain points and optimization opportunities in clients existing solutions, go deep into the data to develop hypotheses, and to propose strategies that address complex business challengesDesign and evaluate experiments at scaleImplement robust data pipelinesAnalyze large amounts of data to discover trends/insights and leverage them for generating valuable feedback to multiple functionsPerform data exploration to find patterns in the data and understand the state and quality of the data available.Recommend and select proper ML algorithms to solve the business problem at handBuild detailed documents including, use case card, business requirement documents, technical Documents and user manuals Evaluate ML models and fine tune model parameters considering the business problem behind.Deploy ML models into production that work as standalone data services.Build customer-facing reporting tools to provide insights and metrics which track system performance.Be able to work autonomously without supervision on complex projects proposing innovative solutions where appropriateQualifications6+ years experience in data mining, predictive modeling, time series analysis, machine learning, Big Data methodologies, transformation and cleaning of both structured and unstructured data.Advanced degree in a quantitative discipline such as Physics, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or Computer Science.Working knowledge of Machine Learning models and scalable ML systemsSolid understanding of statistics and mathStrong problem solving and coding skills.Fluency in English and Arabic along with excellent oral and written communication skills.Proficiency and demonstrated experience in at least 2 of the following programing languages: Python, R, Java, Julia and etc. Proficiency and demonstrated experience in at least 2 of the following data manipulation languag3: SQL, NoSQL, Spark SQL, Hive-QL.Demonstrated experience with database technologies (e.g. Hadoop, BigQuery, Amazon EMR, Hive, Oracle, SAP, DB2, Teradata, MS SQL Server, MySQL) Demonstrated experience with business intelligence and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, MicroStrategy, ChartIO, Qlik) along with geospatial data processing skills is also a plus.Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Google. Knowledge of Agile methodologiesThe ability to work in a very dynamic, flexible, and high-paced cultureStrong experience in leading cross-functional teams and projects from a technical and data science perspective.
