OverviewM42 needs a dynamic, self-driven, and results-focused Senior Vice President - Business Development (TRE), to play a critical role in leading our local and global business development in the areas of Trusted Research Environments (TRE), Clinical-Genomics Datasets, and Digital & Analytic Health Platforms. You will identify profitable and productive market opportunities, develop strategic partnerships, and drive revenue growth for our roster of high-performance digital health solutions. It combines G42 Healthcare’sunique medical and data-centric technologies with Mubadala Health’s world-class patient services and state-of-the-art facilities to provide the highest level of personalized, precise, and preventive care to people.Operating at the forefront of medical advancement, M42 is set to transform the way healthcare is delivered, skilfully bridging the gap between the latest health tech advancements and the clinical outcomes patients receive.ResponsibilitiesKey responsibilitiesManagerial:Strategic PlanningBudget ManagementCorporate Performance ManagementPeople ManagementFunctional:Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy that aligns with the company's larger vision of a comprehensive data platform, as well as with emerging market opportunities.Identify, evaluate, and prioritize new business opportunities, including partnerships, collaborations, as well as mergers and acquisitions.Spearhead global expansion plans with a focus on strong relationships with key industry players, including the government, biotech and pharmaceutical companies, research institutions, and healthcare providers.Lead negotiations and close deals that will contribute to the company's ambitious growth targets and market penetration strategies.Collaborate with internal departments such as Health Information Exchange, Claims Clearinghouse, and E-Prescription to offer integrated solutions as part of the data platform.Strategize and sell a comprehensive suite, efficiently combining the company’s AI, large language models, and genomics data platforms.Collaborate with the marketing, product development, and research teams to align business development strategies with company goals and product offerings.Represent the company at industry conferences, events, and networking opportunities to promote our platform and establish market presence.Provide insights into market trends, competitor activities, and potential impacts on the company's business strategy.Develop and manage the business development team, setting goals, monitoring performance, and fostering professional growth.Organizational:GovernanceManagement ReportingTechnology ManagementChange ManagementProfessional DevelopmentSkills and attributes for successA strong focus on resultsStrategic and analytical skillsA global perspectiveBusiness acumenProven track record in business developmentQualificationsTo qualify, you must have:Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, or related field, with an MBA or advanced degree as a plus.Minimum of 10 years of business development experience in data and analytics or digital platforms, focused on the biotech, pharmaceutical, and/or genomics industry.Demonstrated success in strategic planning, partner development, and contract negotiation.Strong understanding of the health data platforms, data and analytics, genomics, bioinformatics, or life sciences market.Ideally, you’ll also need:Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.Financial acumen, strategic planning capabilities, and analytical skills.Excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation skills.Ability to work collaboratively across functions and lead through influence.Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.The ability to adapt to rapidly evolving technology and healthcare landscapes.What we look for:If you are a performance-driven, inquisitive mind with the agility to adapt to ambiguity, you will fit right in.
