Job Description

Our client is a prominent conglomerate in the UAE. We are currently looking for a General Manager who will oversee the company's car rental business in the UAE and report to the chairman of the board. They are among the industry's forerunners in the region.Job Responsibilities:- To determine the companys mission and strategic direction as conveyed through policies and objectives through the effective management of human, financial and other material resources. Lead and manage the senior teams execution of strategy through effective communication of company strategy, individual and team goals & objectives conveying messages to them clearly and unambiguously. Provide coaching, role modelling and counselling to team members in order to ensure the senior team is equipped with skills/knowledge to be customer centric and focused in order to achieve company objectives. To select middle managers and other senior staff, delegate authority to them and to create optimum working conditions for all. Ensure that performance reviews are conducted and to identify areas of performance that may be enhanced through further learning and development. To allocate material, human and financial resources to implement organisational policies and programs, establish financial and administrative controls, approve human resources planning and to formulate and approve promotional campaigns. Authorise funds to implement policies and programs. To ensure commitment towards following through on proposed action plans, meeting deadlines, attendance and timekeeping. To assess the performance of the organisation and its activities and to consult with key players on their recommendations. Address and overcome threats from competitors by collecting information and investigating competitors activities and to assist in the development of relevant strategies. Manage the teams performance through adherence to the companys performance management process in order to close performance gaps and support personal development.Education & Key Requirements:- Bachelors Degree in Business Management/MBA preferred 12+ Years experience in a senior managerial role and UAE experience preferred. Industry experience is mandatory Leadership, Strategic planning, Goal oriented and an understanding of all Business operations. The ability to effectively communicate using a range of verbal and written communication skills within a multicultural environment and across the full range of business disciplines. Good planning, organising and execution skills. Highly results driven with the ability to develop and motivate direct & indirect staff and business partners.
