Senior Consultant, Project Based

Purpose of Position The Senior Consultant is expected to develop and understand the methodologies learned as consultants. A Senior Consultant would have honed knowledge in the industries worked in, not so much as an expert but as a knowledgeable person about the Strategy Execution challenges in the intersection of Palladium’s capabilities with typical client needs in that sector. Primary responsibilities: The Senior Consultant is responsible for leading the implementation of a discrete work stream as part of a broader project. The primary responsibilities of the Senior Consultant are to:Work with senior team members to develop hypotheses and work plans that address project objectives Manage the data collection and analysis Develop insights from the analytical process and integrate findings into the broader project work Build the relationship between Palladium and the client’s project team Interact independently with client leadershipIdentify follow-on opportunities and articulate the proposed approachCo-facilitate client workshopsTake ownership of client deliverables, presentations, and proposal materialsCoach and mentor junior team members both overall and on projectsManage and coordinate internal projectsReporting requirementsThe role reports to the Manager or above. Reporting requirements include:Attend all weekly meetings and other meetings as required Participate in regular project status updates with the project manager on client engagementsRegular updates with line managerTimely submission of assigned reports/deliverablesSemi-annual updates on the status of Key Result Areas, as well as any other important areas of concernRelationshipsKey relationships will be with the manager, clients as well as the wider Consulting teamThis role will likely have at least one direct report When working on a particular client project, there will be a designated client relationship manager whom the senior consultant will be required to liaise closely with throughout the duration of the project Authority levelsThe role carries a degree of autonomy with appropriate consultation. The role is required to:Analyse and make sound recommendations to the line managerReview and enhance client deliverables under the guidance of the Project ManagerTake full ownership of work streams on the project delivery baseDesign sound approaches and solutions for technical proposals Contribute to process improvement through innovative and cost-effective proposals/ideas/suggestionsMinimum experience requiredEconomics background with consulting experienceReasonable relevant business experience, preferably in strategy consulting or an equivalent multi-client consulting environment Balanced skills in general problem-solving, concept development, project management, and facilitationExperience with performance management methodologies, particularly the Kaplan/Norton framework is desirable
