The Nuclear medicine unit in the Mediclinic Comprehensive Cancer Centre, Mediclinic City Hospital, Dubai is now hiring a Consultant in Nuclear Medicine to join the team.At Mediclinic we perform both diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and would love to hear from experts in Nuclear medicine who are keen to join our highly functional clinical team.MAIN PURPOSE OF JOBTo provide patient-centric and evidence based consultant-level care by ensuring compliance to ethical and professional standards set by the company and regulatory authorities.KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREASProvide a comprehensive professional and ethical quality clinical services to patients in an effective and efficient mannerMonitor and manage clinical risks associated with direct patient careEnsure compliance with clinical governance and quality management standardsMaintain accurate medical recordsEnsure excellence in medical practice is maintained by focusing on continuous professional development of self and othersMaintain integrity in professional services by executing clinical services in an ethical and responsible mannerREQUIRED EDUCATIONBasic medical degree and completion of higher education programme (fellowship/diploma) recognised by the relevant UAE healthcare authority.Certification and registration in the speciality of Nuclear Medicine (diagnostic nuclear medicine and molecular imaging (PET/CT)) recognised by relevant UAE healthcare authority.Certified in radioactive therapy for oncology.Active and valid life support certification (e.g. BLS, ACLS)REQUIRED EXPERIENCEAt least 3-5 years’ post qualification experience at Consultant level in Nuclear MedicineExpertise in diagnostic nuclear medicine and molecular imaging (PET/CT)Proven experience in radioactive therapy for oncology – ie thyroid carcinoma, prostrate tumors, neuroendocrine tumors etc.Experience and interest in thyroid clinic will be a definite advantage.REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGEAbility to facilitate and support clinical clerkship training for medical students and junior colleaguesProficiency in an electronic medical record systemEffective communicationKnowledge of clinical audit standards and processesVerbal and written communication skills in English (Arabic will be an advantage)All applicants will be considered, with the understanding that preference will be given to the designated groups in accordance with the United Arab Emirates Emiratization Program.
