Job Description

Objectives / Summary Of Job Tasks: The role holder is responsible to manage/monitor/control production processes performed according to given Mercedes-Benz requirement and standards. He/she shall co-ordinate with assembly contractor to support assembly shop & Electrical and Electronics team (all models) according to assembly contract. He/she shall also be responsible for be responsible for IS Test Administration, rectification of rework cars and parts rework area. He/she shall be providing technical support to Mercedes-Benz local partners if required. IS Test Administration : Responsible to Program each car at the Line based on model number and chassis type to ensure activation of controls. Perform diagnosis to identify any malfunctioning in control units. Identify and resolve root cause for malfunction. Co-ordinate with Daimler AG team for support on programming and resolving technical issues. Installation and upgradation of software patch for IS tester. Monitoring vehicles for repeated issues related to electrical and electronics. Document any issues with IS Test machine, for future reference Use diagnostic techniques like STAR diagnosis, Xentry, etc. to identify problems on vehicles that fall out of line and recommend course of action. Ensure all operations are carried out as per described process. Rectification of Rework car: Responsible for rectification of crippled cars (fallout cars from the line) as per the described procedures. Identify and support rectification painting defects at paint shop and finish Line. Report defects in the system and highlight major concern areas Monitor and review daily operations at the Trim / Mech Lines to ensure quality of the cars produced. Coordinate between the line supervisors and be responsible for troubleshooting. FTRR (first time vehicle ok quality without defects) overall analysis and measure development with all parties Responsible to achieve all KPIs in rectification area Rework of Parts: Ensure rework of parts reported as damaged in the daily red table meeting. Work with the assigned line supervisor to repair and salvage rework parts; Rework to include leather rework, plastic rework, door module rework, etc. Coordinate with other teams for specific support on parts that cannot be reworked upon. This may include scrap / disposal. Assembly shop, EE team (all models) & projects : Responsible to plan/monitor as well follow up all task which concerned to new model launching and new Assembly shop & EE team (all models) projects according to planned timeline. To create projects and/or changes to felicitate/improve Assembly shop & EE team (all models) processes. Support project management for various product and infrastructure projects. Support technical planning for process, equipment, layouts and engineering change management for new products / changes in existing products. Responsible for documentation and compliance. Responsible for problem solving analysis Qualifications - ExternalEducation:Bachelor Degree in Engineering, focusing on automotive engineering and/or related field with a strong background in automotive electrical and electronics.Mechatronics education preferred. . Experience: Minimum 4 - 6 years in Production specifically in automotive industry, especially focusing on vehicle diagnostics and rectification. Soft skills/individual competence: - Project Management knowledge. - Ability to plan and operationalize business strategies. - Excellent command of English language
