The Arts Club Dubai will be perfectly located in the heart of the DIFC, set over four floors and totalling 65,000 square feet, in the brand new ICD Brookfield Place development designed by Foster + Partners.It will be the first international outpost of the celebrated and historical private members’ club, established in 1863 in Mayfair, London. The Club’s brand new membership will form an exciting new community of like-minded, diverse and dynamic people, all hailing from different cultures and sectors, from the region and further afield.A lifestyle for its membersThe Club will provide its members with a home away from home: a sanctuary for those seeking comfort, hospitality and elegance, with a level of quality, service and attention to detail that will leave them wanting for nothing.It will also be an office away from the office, where members seeking a more relaxed environment in which to conduct business can do so at ease, either in a social and convivial setting or in a more private and secluded space.POSITION PURPOSEThe IT Manager is responsible for the day-to-day support of all IT systems, business systems, office systems, computer networks, and telephony systems throughout the Club. Also, responsible for Information Technology issues, products, and services at the property. Provides user training and support of all property/site systems, network enhancements, hardware and software support. Also maintains inventory of all hardware products and software licenses, and reviews maintenance agreements.In addition, IT Manager will be responsible for creating and maintaining a harmonious work environment for the entrusted team ensuring their growth and development.Essential Functions / Daily DutiesManage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the IT department, including planning, organising, and coordinating IT activities.Lead, mentor, and supervise the IT executive, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and standards to ensure the security, reliability, and efficiency of IT systems and infrastructure.Manage and maintain the club's network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points, to ensure optimal performance and reliability.Administer and support servers, including file servers, email servers, and application servers, ensuring they are properly configured, updated, and backed up.Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software, including workstations, laptops, printers, and POS systems, to meet the needs of various departments.Monitor system performance and security, conducting regular audits and assessments to identify and address vulnerabilities and risks.Manage and maintain the club's website, ensuring it is up-to-date, user-friendly, and optimised for search engines and mobile devices.Develop and implement data backup and disaster recovery plans to ensure the integrity and availability of critical data and systems.Manage and maintain the club's membership database, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with data protection regulations.Collaborate with department heads to understand their IT needs and requirements. Develop and implement solutions to support their operations effectively.Support the Head of IT with IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and deployments, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.Evaluate and recommend IT products and services, including hardware, software, and cloud solutions, to meet the club's evolving needs and objectives.Negotiate and manage vendor contracts and service agreements, ensuring they meet the club's requirements and provide value for money.Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to staff, resolving IT issues and problems in a timely and efficient manner.Develop and deliver IT training and awareness programs for staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to use IT systems effectively and securely.Stay informed about emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in IT management and cybersecurity, and make recommendations for their adoption and implementation.Prepare and maintain documentation, including system configurations, procedures, and user guides, to facilitate knowledge sharing and continuity of operations.Liaise with external partners, vendors, and service providers, including IT consultants, hardware suppliers, and software developers, to support IT initiatives and projects.Represent the club's IT interests and requirements in meetings, committees, and forums, both internally and externally, as required.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the hospitality industry or a similar customer-focused environment.Strong technical skills, including proficiency in network management, database administration, and IT security.Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage a team and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Experience managing client data and preferences, with a strong understanding of data protection regulations.A proactive and innovative approach to IT management, with a willingness to explore new technologies and solutions.Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve IT issues.Experience managing vendor relationships and contracts, with strong negotiation skills.Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards, such as GDPR and PCI DSS.Flexibility to work outside of regular business hours as needed, including evenings and weekends.
