For an overview of our work culture and benefits, click here. Job Purpose:Detect equipment degradation and develop effective plans for equipment retirements. Improves plant mechanical integrity as per code, industry standards and regulatory requirements. Provides technical support to Maintenance and Operations in stationary equipment, piping and related systems through inspection and review. Troubleshoots problems, evaluates failures and reviews design for appropriate protection. Has a technical and working knowledge of relevant engineering standards and procedure, non-destructive testing and code requirements of stationary equipment and material of manufacturer. Key Accountabilities:Attend operation meeting and regular plant visits to provide inspection recommendations illustrating detail QA plans for major and emergency plant issues as required.Carry out internal inspection of static equipment during plant turnaround and shutdown plant as per code, industry standards and SHEMS. Prepare & Release the final inspection reports for static equipment with detail observations, recommendations, modifications works carried out during plant SD/TA through Meridium.Lead or be a member of RCA related to assigned plant issues to find the root cause and ensure such problem does not recur.Inspects and tests plant static equipment such as pressure vessels, boilers, heat exchangers, storage tanks, towers, piping, structures, furnaces, PSVs, etc. Develops repair procedures and makes recommendations accordingly. Carries out actual fieldwork of equipment inspection, non-destructive tests, PSVs and welding inspection. Inspects repairs and new installations to assure quality of construction and adherence to specifications both on site and vendor location.Participate in JSA/Risk assessment/PHA/MOC meeting etc. Review temporary MOC for QA hold points & technical evaluation of contractors.Periodic monitoring of critical issues which is at high risk from static equipmentWitness Inspection and testing carried out by external vendors issue inspection reports.Technical Support: Provide technical support to multidisciplinary teams, including process engineers, project managers, and maintenance personnel, to address static equipment-related issues and optimize operation and maintenance practices.Inspection and Testing: Coordinate and participate in non-destructive testing (NDT) activities, inspection programs, and reliability assessments of static equipment to ensure compliance with inspection and maintenance schedules.Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Investigate and troubleshoot operational issues related to static equipment, develop maintenance strategies, and recommend corrective actions to enhance reliability and operational safety.Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including equipment specifications, drawings, maintenance records, and inspection reports, to ensure accurate and up-to-date records for regulatory compliance and historical reference. Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Metallurgical engineering.Minimum 5 years’ experience in Oil & Gas Plants, Refineries, Petrochemical Plants.Should be capable of independently performing inspection of static in Oil & Gas Plants, Refineries, and Petrochemical Plants.Capable of taking independent decision for resolving issues related to static/rotating equipment in the assigned plant.
