Senior MIEC Mechanical Engineer

The purpose of the Job is to guarantee that the Mechanical part of all Maintenance & InspectionEngineering (MIE) Contractor deliverables are aligned with FOPS Maintenance team requirements.Your TasksDuring Basic Engineering Phases:Ensure that Maintainability aspects, handling requirements and Maintenance access are properly addressed.Participate to design reviews as required.MIEC General Responsibilities:Responsible for the review of all Maintenance and Spare Parts deliverables related to Mechanical issued by the MIE Projects Contractors.In charge of the training and monitoring of Mechanical engineers.Attend weekly and monthly meetings with MIE Contractors.Identify areas of concern, challenge and identify / implement improvement measures.Ensure all outstanding Mechanical related actions were managed and closed out within time.Provide assistance to the MIE Contractor Mechanical leaders to ensure compliance with project specifications.Participate to Maintenance and Spare Parts MIEC workshops with Company Stakeholders to ensure alignment.MIEC Technical Responsibilities:Review documentation both EPCIC and projects and provide feedback in a timely manner.Coordinate and validate the quality and compliance of Mechanical documents required for the completion of Maintenance deliverables in the EDMS.Participate to 3D model reviews, ensure that maintainability aspects, maintenance access and handling requirements are properly addressed during Detailed Engineering.Contribute to the development of new or updating of Mechanical standards.Participation in criticality reviews, RBM studies or equivalent to ensure Mechanical related Maintenance requirements are properly addressed.Review and validate the Mechanical Maintenance Work Instructions.Guarantee the quality of the technical description for all Mechanical spare parts, commissioning/start up, capital and operational ensuring purchase requisition specification and relevant certification are correct.Provide technical clarification for the procurement of Mechanical spare parts as required.Participate to the review of the Maintenance dossiers prepared by the MIE Contractors.Project Responsibilities:Provide support as required to commissioning activities,Facilitate efficient communication/information flow with Head of Maintenance and Inspection Engineering, Project team, stakeholders and Maintenance department,Attend FAT/SAT as required by project/company.Ad-hoc activities as required by line manager,All staff must be willing to participate in Crisis Response Training and to assist during Emergency Response Situations if required.Your ProfileBachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering.8 to 10 years’ experience in the petrochemical, refining, oil & gas exploration & production or similar industry in Mechanical Engineering role.Previous experience in the supervision of Maintenance Engineering activities within a project team and/or experience in the use of the Risk Based Maintenance (RBM) or equivalent would be beneficial.Leadership skills and good communication skills,Ability to work on projects in a complex and multicultural environment,Experience with CMIMS,Detailed knowledge of legislation/regulations relevant to Maintenance discipline,Familiar with NOC standards, MANASA and relevant codes and standards,Fluent in English (listening, writing and speaking) and its technical vocabulary,Computer literate,Available for missions as necessitated by project,Medically fit to travel to Offshore Oil & Gas Platforms,H2S OPITO and T-BOSIET trainings.Our OfferSalary:Day Rate in USD Plus AllowanceWork Schedule:10 Hours / 6 DaysDuration:Dec 2027, renewableLocation:Qatar
