Principal - Portfolio Strategy & Operations

What we are looking forIn this role, you will be in charge of supporting our existing and future portfolio companies with strategic partnerships, equity story building, and network strengthening with key potential acquirers. You will also work very closely with our founders to help them prepare for critical stages of their journey (fundraising, M&A, …), and be responsible for enabling us to build liquidity optionality in Africa.What does the job involveBuild and execute exit plans for our portfolio to optimize the funds’ returns.Develop transformative partnerships for our portfolio with key industry playersCreate a strong network of potential strategic financial partners (leading industry players, large tech and corporate players, investors, bankers, …) across the worldFollow, coordinate or lead portfolio fundraising efforts to make it as smooth as possible and optimize.outcomes for all stakeholdersIdentify and evaluate acquisition targets for our portfolio and support them in closing the deals.Qualifications7 - 10 years of professional experienceA Strong long-term commitment to AfricaIdeal previous experience in large leading tech players, M&A,and startup leadership positionsProven interest in tech entrepreneurship and experience in working with early-stage tech companies.Strong knowledge of local markets and tech ecosystems (ideally worked/lived in Africa)Experience in other emerging markets is a plus (SE Asia, Latin America, China etc.)BenefitsA competitive salaryOther benefits to be discussed.This role is Hybrid in Lagos, Nairobi, Dubai, Dakar, Paris or London
