Aircraft Maintenance TechnicianSalary: CompetitiveLocation: Tabuk, Saudi ArabiaJOB PURPOSEBAE Systems is the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) aircraft and train RSAF and Royal Saudi Naval Force personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons. BAE Systems Saudi Arabia is committed to supporting the Saudi Arabian National Agenda including Saudisation and the training and development of Saudi National capability through the growth of the Saudi National Partner Companies thereby reinforcing Industrialisation and Partnerships.This role is for actively supporting the recovery of aircraft and associated components within the Hawk Aircraft Maintenance Shop, to meet the operational training requirements and display team flying of the RSAF at KFABMaintaining good engineering practice and compliance with approved technical dataJOB ACCOUNTABILITIESThe efficient day to day support in the running of the Hawk Aircraft Maintenance Shop includingMaintaining good engineering practice and compliance with RSAF Technical Orders in all aspects of the Hawk Aircraft Maintenance ShopPrepare items for calibration within their work areaCarry out TCTO’s and Special inspections when directedHave a thorough knowledge of Aircraft Safety devices and Aircraft operating areasEnsure compliance with tool control and the KFAB SAFO programSupport deployments to other bases within and out of KSA when required and be able to prepare equipment to support these deploymentsBe able to provide functional guidance to the SNTTP programs in respect of any engineering issues that may ariseAct as MIIP on any aircraft or ground support technical related issuesMonitor all supply issues affecting the Hawk Aircraft Maintenance ShopProviding up to date briefings and information to all concerned parties on daily progress and any issues affecting the Hawk Aircraft Maintenance ShopRECRUITMENT SPECIFICATIONThe Aircraft Maintenance Technician should meet the following criteriaAble to demonstrate experience in aircraft maintenance and engineering in a relevant roleMust be trained in aircraft engineering or a related technical discipline at a civilian or military school of technical training, or have completed an appropriate engineering apprenticeshipMust have a sound understanding of the RSAF 4-1-7166 series and supporting technical publications applicable to their work areaMust be a quality minded, mature, individual that adopts a positive and proactive approach to aircraft maintenance and support issuesMust have and be able to demonstrate sound oral and written two-way communication skills with the ability to be tactful, discreet and confident in dealing with people at all levels Be able to work in close harmony in a mixed EE/SN workforceMust be able to work on their own initiative to resolve complex technical issuesMust be computer literate with a sound understanding of the Microsoft Office SuiteMust hold a current driving licenceRECRUITMENTMust be trained in aircraft maintenance or a related technical discipline at a civilian or military school of technical training, or have completed an appropriate engineering apprenticeship. Ideally to include extensive working experience in an aircraft maintenance and servicing environmentMust be a quality minded, mature, individual that adopts a positive and proactive approach to aircraft maintenance and support issues
