Accountant

About Role:We’re looking for a meticulous Accountant to enhance our finance team. This role involves aiding the Controller with diverse fiscal duties throughout different areas. The chosen individual will back the financial workings of our company, handling tasks related to R2R (Record to Report), B2P (Buy to Pay), O2C (Order to Cash), audits, and taxes. By completing financial duties accurately and promptly, the Accountant will play a part in our company’s financial prosperity.Responsibilities:Here is the main job purpose:Support the Controller with R2R tasks like managing the general ledger, recording journal entries, reconciling accounts, and preparing financial reports.Work alongside the Controller to handle B2P activities, ensuring invoices and payments are processed correctly.Help maintain and improve accounting systems, policies, and internal controls, as advised by the Controller.Prepare journal entries for the accounting period closure and keep all necessary documents.Guarantee the precision and punctuality of all statutory reports.Collaborate with Accenture and the global process team to verify the trial balance accuracy for MEA entities.Aid O2C operations by helping with billing, payment allocations, and reconciling accounts receivable.Engage in both internal and external audits, adhering to audit standards and completing tasks on time.Assist the Controller with tax tasks, VAT submissions, and providing samples when needed.Help prepare and examine financial reports and other fiscal data as needed.Requirements:Here are the qualifications and skills required:A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.Professional certification like CPA, ACCA, CMA is a bonus, but not mandatory.At least 5 years of experience in accounting, familiar with R2R, B2P, O2C, audits, and taxes.Solid understanding of accounting standards, IFRS, and procedures.Skilled in accounting software, SAP, Blackline, and MS Office suite.Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills.Capable of working both independently and as part of a team in a dynamic setting.Excellent organizational and time management capabilities.
