This is an excellent career opportunity for professionals looking to join a truly international team in one of the biggest projects of Siemens Mobility.What are my responsibilities?Provide design drawings for cable raceway/route for several site locations along the project raceways inaclude cable trays, aerial connections, conduits, floor/wall penetrations, cable duct banks, cable troughs, directly buried cables, manholes, handholes, etc. from civil design and construction as well as from electrical perspective.Gather the input data from civil works design drawings for electrical substations, bridges, viaducts & embankment.Perform site surveys as necessary to propose routing solutions and to ensure that the proposed solutions fit the site conditions.Identify obstacles at site and find alternative to resolve possible clashes.Derive proposed solutions for cableway construction design based on the gathered information, solutions, and material common in Egypt and interact with parties involved for optimization and conclusion.Review the shop drawings to ensure that they match the raceway design drawings, cable routing principles, and cable laying methods.What do I need to qualify for this job?Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.Draftsmen without an Engineering degree are welcome to apply.3-7 years of experience with cable raceway & routing designs preferably in railway or infrastructure projects.Excellent command of CAD software such as AutoCAD and modules for cable route design and planning.Knowledgeable of common practices and standards for cable routing design and cable laying activities, especially in Egypt.Multidisciplinary knowledge of electrical and civil engineering disciplines.Good Command in both writing and spoken English.No restrictions to travel between the project sites of the High-Speed Rail Project in Egypt and internationally abroad to partners involved (if required).What else do I need to know?As a world leader in developing and producing the most advanced technologies, we improve lives and further human achievements worldwide, while also protecting the climate - all thanks to our employees.
