Job Description

Electrical Engineer to join our team and play a key role in the design, development, and maintenance of permanent power grid infrastructure on ground in Riyadh, KSA. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in electrical engineering principles and your understanding of hydraulic systems to:Design and analyze electrical systems for permanent power grid integrationCollaborate with mechanical and civil engineers on the integration of hydraulic systems with the power gridConduct performance testing and troubleshooting of electrical and hydraulic systemsEnsure compliance with all relevant electrical and safety codes and standardsContract position; anticipated to be on ground in Riyadh, KSA for late March 2024 — late December 2024.Past experience working in Saudi Arabia or other GCC countries preferred.Responsibilities:Achieve accurate design processes goals per assignment, including the completion of design reviews, design for manufacturability, resource capacity concerns and design capabilitiesImproved design engineering capabilities by consistently following standard design practices, creating a design roadmap for each assignmentAchieve improved inter-departmental communication through design strategies and daily workflow.Will be expected to chair meetings with authorities and contractors.Designs systems which meet or exceed client specifications while providing maximum value.Perform optimization and value engineering reviews of both existing and new equipment for improvements in cost and efficiency. This includes the research and specification of components from industry manufacturers for electrical designs. This also includes re-use and modification of existing designsPrepare bills of materials for finished electrical assemblies and assist in the procurement of outside vendor parts and services.Central responsibility in the creation of finished electrical assembly and fabrication drawings, contribution to O&M manuals, and final client submittal packages.Communicates design project priorities, resource requirements and manages adjustments, as neededQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 10 years experience.Demonstrated knowledge of electrical engineering principles, including power systems analysis, transmission, and distributionWorking experience with hydraulic systems is a strong plusPast experience producing projects in the Middle East.Have excellent interpersonal & communication skills, both verbal & written.Computer skills: Macintosh OS or Window platform using Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, Excel, and Powerpoint. Able to work well remotely as part of a collaborative, team environment with an international team.Fluent in English. Bilingual in Arabic is helpful.Ensure that all work conforms to pre-established specifications & standards. Ensure healthy & safety standards are met.Take initiative, multi-task, and work positively in a fast-paced environment.Work with discretion, diplomacy, confidentiality, and tact in high-pressure settings.
