Mechanical Design Engineer

As a Junior Mechanical Design Engineer, your job will be : 

• the mechanical design and manufacturing data (drawings) of the products according to standard operating procedures (SOP’s). You will coordinate with assigned Team Leader and the Military Design Manager.
• Performing drafting techniques and CAD, preferably Creo 4.0. Understands drafting standards and file configurations.
• Review approved project specifications and requirements.
• Prepare General arrangement drawings and layouts.
• Prepare drawings Representation from the CAD model.
• Generate drawings to obtain and verify dimensions complying to company standards.
• Create detailed fabrication drawings, Welding drawings.
• Prepare installation shop drawings and detailed mechanical drawings.
• Prepare Material takeoff or BOM for materials, piping and fittings based on the approved piping drawings.
• Prepare piping routing drawings.
• Communicate with configuration department throughout the Drawing process.
• Works with engineers regarding model accuracy, design, drafting standards and Engineering/Enterprise Change documentation.
• Review requirements for tasks with Team Leader and Head of the Military Design.
• Develop virtual design models of designs using CAD software. Create assemblies and mechanical drawings and according to Configuration processes and procedures. Ensure designs and drawings specifications/information are peered/team reviewed and updated accordingly.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Collaborate with project team regarding other interfaces and requirements ( electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, power, thermodynamics, martial, etc.,) Evaluate the function, safety and appearance of products to ensure they have a practical design.
• Provide technical support during assembly and installation of equipment. Update designs (redlines) to correct operating and manufacturing issues.
