Job Description
Job Summary:
- The position is fully responsible for organizing, controlling and increasing efficiency of the entire spare parts and accessory area.
This responsibility involves in particular:
- Ensuring that the strategic and operational targets as agreed upon with MBEg and GAS Management are met and corrective measures are designed and implemented if and when required.
- Evaluating parts stock level and availability on a regular basis together with AS Management; correct and change as required
- Maintaining logistical structures and processes, taking into account requirements of the Mercedes Parts process
- Organizing the parts store in a manner to ensure easy access to parts and to minimize damage, spoil and loss
- Observing statutory and other rules for the storage and transportation of dangerous goods, goods with limited shelf life, theft relevant and high value parts
- Implementing the correct and up-to-date parts price list
- Contributing to developing marketing campaigns and support them by special offers and pricing
- Promote actively OTC sales and sales to outside workshops and bulk customers like fleet owners
- Planning, managing and developing human resources in cooperation with AS and HR Management
- Assisting in compiling and ensuring implementation of maintenance and calibration schedule for tools and equipment
- Ensuring that relevant quality and safety standards, legal regulations and labour and environmental protection rules are complied with

Job Requirements
- Education: BSc. degree in business administration
- Good command of English
- Years of experience: 10-15 years of experience in spare parts positions preferably in automotive section
- Experience in handling financial costing & margin calculations
- Experience in lheading & motivating teams
- Good experience in dealing with customers
Specific Knowledge:
- Understanding of Mercedes products
- Intimate knowledge of Mercedes spare parts system
- Basic knowledge of legal issues related to spare parts operations & warranty
- Knowledge of Mercedes Parts processes
- Excellent organizational skills & flexibility
- Knowledge of internal GAS processes
- Knowledge of current software applications (Microsoft Office)
