• Job Summary:
• As an MEP Estimator (Costing Engineer) you will be responsible for preparing accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems for a variety of construction projects, analyzing project plans, specifications to determine the scope of work and develop detailed cost breakdowns.

• Responsibilities:

1. Estimate Preparation:

• Analyze project plans, specifications, drawings, and other contract documents to fully understand the project's MEP requirements.
• Perform detailed quantity take-offs for all MEP materials, equipment, and labor.
• Develop accurate cost estimates for complete MEP systems, including but not limited to HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, electrical power distribution, lighting, low voltage systems, etc.
• Prepare detailed cost breakdowns, including material costs, labor costs, equipment costs, subcontractor costs, and other direct and indirect expenses.
• Develop and maintain a cost database for MEP materials, labor rates, and equipment.
• Obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors, and analyze their bids for completeness and competitiveness.
• Prepare bid summaries and cost comparison reports.
• Identify potential risks and opportunities that may affect project costs.
• Develop value engineering proposals to optimize project costs without compromising quality or functionality.
• Prepare and present cost estimates to the project team and management.

      2. Tender Process Support: 

• Assist in the preparation of tender documents and bid proposals.
• Respond to technical and commercial queries related to MEP costs during the tender process.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits to gather necessary information.

      3. Project Support: 

• Assist project managers with budget control and cost forecasting during the project execution phase.
• Evaluate change orders and prepare cost estimates for variations.
• Track and report on cost performance against the original estimate.

      4. Market Awareness: 

• Stay updated on market prices for MEP materials & equipment in KSA.

      5. Collaboration and Communication: 

• Work closely with architects, engineers, project managers, to ensure accurate cost estimates.
• Communicate effectively with all parties regarding cost-related matters.
