Job Description
- Review and analyze tender and prequalification documents
- Prepare BOQs and cost estimates based on project scope
- Send and follow up on RFQs with vendors and subcontractors
- Evaluate technical/commercial offers and prepare comparison sheets
- Lead bid clarifications and pre/post-bid meetings
- Coordinate with project teams for smooth handovers
- Maintain detailed tender records and databases
- Prepare, review, and manage bid documents such as technical specifications, pricing schedules, and compliance statements. Ensure all documentation is complete, accurate, and professionally presented.
- Ensure that all tender submissions adhere to legal, regulatory, and company standards.
- Follow internal processes and best practices to maintain high-quality and compliant bids.
- Support the Section Head or Team Leader in preparing reports on bid progress, outcomes, and performance metrics. Maintain organized records of bid submissions and related correspondence.
- Assist in conducting market research to gather information on industry trends, competitor activities, and client needs. Provide insights to support bid strategies and improve proposal quality.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to clarify bid requirements, address queries, and provide additional information as needed. Support pre-bid meetings and site visits.
- Assist in the preparation and development of tender submissions, including gathering and organizing necessary documentation, preparing technical proposals, and ensuring accurate and timely submission.
- Work closely with internal teams, including project managers & Planning team, to collect and compile required information for bids. Facilitate effective communication and ensure all team members are aligned with bid requirements and deadlines.
- Review and analyze tender documents to understand scope of work, specifications, and contract terms. Identify key requirements and potential issues and contribute to the development of bid strategies.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
- 7-10 years of experience in tendering
- Proven working experience in tender preparation in substations projects
- Proficient in MS Office tools
- Excellent communication and analytical skills
- Strong problem-solving and project management skills.
- Excellent knowledge of bidding activities preferably experienced in bidding of EPC tenders
- Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards.
- Excellent time and project management skills.
