Job Description
- Oversee the preparation, and reconciliation of journal entries for all transactions in the general ledger, including revenue, expenses, assets, liabilities.
- Ensure that all transactions are recorded accurately and in compliance with company policies and accounting standards (IFRS, GAAP).
- Perform reconciliations for all general ledger accounts, ensuring that all balances are correct and supported by appropriate documentation.
- Ensure proper accounting and reconciliation of intercompany transactions between subsidiaries (both local and international), including elimination entries and foreign exchange adjustments.
- Ability to prepare accurate TB & detailed analysis reports for P&L / BS.
- Assist in cost allocations and ensure proper recording of overheads and cost center distributions.
- Manage foreign currency transactions and ensure proper revaluation of foreign currency balances based on applicable exchange rates.
- Prepare and record foreign exchange gains & losses, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
- Responsible for recording all export-related transactions, including shipments, invoices, and receipts.
- Review and ensure that all shipping documentation, such as Bills of Lading, customs invoices, and export declarations, is accurate and compliant with relevant regulations.
- Ensure that export revenue is recognized in accordance with the appropriate accounting standards.
- Record all import-related financial transactions, including the purchase price, shipping costs, customs duties, and any additional fees related to the import of goods.
- Calculate and record customs duties, taxes, and other import-related charges, ensuring compliance with local and international customs regulations.
- Ensure that inventory related to imported goods is valued correctly by incorporating the cost of purchase, shipping, taxes, and any other associated costs.
- Allocate shipping costs (such as freight, handling, insurance, and other related expenses) to the relevant accounts based on the shipping terms.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance.
- Experience: from 5 to 6 years of experience in general ledger accounting.
- Very good written and verbal communication skills in both Arabic and English.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines. attention to detail with the ability to spot discrepancies.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other departments and stakeholders for accurate financial reporting.
- Excellent in dealing with Microsoft office, accounting system & ERP.
