Design Review
Review and approve fire life safety designs and plans submitted by the D&B contractor to ensure compliance with project specifications, local regulations, and international standards.
Conduct detailed assessments of fire protection systems, including fire alarms, sprinklers, smoke control systems, and emergency lighting.
Provide technical guidance and recommendations to the D&B contractor to address any design deficiencies or improvements.
Ensure that fire life safety considerations are integrated into the overall project design and construction phases.
Construction Supervision
Oversee the implementation of fire life safety systems during the construction phase, ensuring adherence to approved designs and specifications.
Conduct regular site inspections and audits to verify the proper installation and functionality of fire life safety systems.
Monitor the D&B contractor's compliance with fire safety regulations, codes, and standards throughout the construction process.
Coordinate with the D&B contractor to resolve any issues or discrepancies related to fire life safety systems.
Testing And Commissioning
Supervise the testing and commissioning of fire life safety systems to ensure they meet performance and safety requirements.
Review and approve test plans, procedures, and results submitted by the D&B contractor.
Ensure that all fire life safety systems are fully operational and compliant before project handover.
Documentation And Reporting
Review and approve technical documentation, including design drawings, test reports, and as-built drawings related to fire life safety systems.
Prepare and present regular progress reports, highlighting risks, achievements, and next steps to project stakeholders and senior management.
Maintain comprehensive records of all fire life safety activities and ensure proper documentation is available for future reference.
Coordination And Communication
Liaise with local authorities, emergency services, and other stakeholders to ensure coordinated fire life safety efforts.
Provide training and support to project staff on fire life safety best practices and emergency response procedures.
Collaborate with other project teams to ensure seamless integration of fire life safety systems with other project activities.
Qualifications And Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Safety Engineering, or a related field.
Knowledge And Experience
Minimum of 10-12 years of experience in fire life safety engineering, preferably in rail or metro projects.
Proven experience in managing fire life safety systems for large-scale construction projects preferably Rail/Metro/Transportation projects.
Experience working in projects liaising with Dubai Civil Defense.
Strong knowledge of fire protection systems, technologies, and best practices.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
UAE project experience is highly desirable.
Ability to join quickly is preferred.
