Job Description
- Procurement Planning:
- Participate in early-stage procurement planning with project teams.
- Identify long-lead items and develop procurement schedules.
- Vendor Management & Prequalification:
- Evaluate and prequalify suppliers/subcontractors.
- Build and maintain strong vendor relationships.
- Bid Management & Negotiation:
- Prepare complex RFQs and manage full bid cycle.
- Lead commercial and contractual negotiations for major packages.
- Contract Management:
- Review and support in drafting procurement contracts.
- Ensure contract compliance and manage claims/disputes when necessary.
- Team Coordination & Support:
- Support junior procurement engineers by reviewing technical and commercial evaluations.
- Coordinate procurement deliverables with engineering, planning, and cost control.
- Reporting & Risk Mitigation:
- Prepare procurement status reports, cost saving reports, and risk assessments.
- Proactively mitigate procurement-related risks and delays.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Only Civil will be considered).
- Procurement or supply chain certifications are highly desirable (e.g., CIPS, PMP, or equivalent).
- 6 to 10 years of experience in procurement within the construction or engineering industry.
- Proven track record in managing procurement of major and complex packages.
- Experience in contract management and vendor performance monitoring.
- In-depth knowledge of procurement strategies and material specifications.
- Proficient in ERP systems (Odoo preferred, SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).
- Advanced Excel and reporting skills.
- Familiar with FIDIC or other contract forms used in construction.
