Job Description
Service/ Workshop Manager will be responsible for leading and overseeing the aftersales service department, ensuring efficient maintenance, repair, and support operations for power generators, material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts), and commercial vehicles. This role involves managing a team of service engineers and technicians, maintaining service quality, ensuring customer satisfaction, and optimizing service revenue and operational performance.
Job Duties
- Manage, develop, and motivate a team of technicians and service engineers.
- Assign tasks, monitor daily operations, and ensure adherence to work schedules.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching/training as needed.
- Monitor job progress, ensure proper diagnostics, and validate completed service reports.
- Set and enforce safety, quality, and operational standards across the department.
- Communicate with clients to understand service needs, provide updates, and resolve complaints.
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and promote long-term client relationships.
- Prepare service reports, monitor KPIs (e.g., job turnaround time, first-time fix rate).
- Analyze trends and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and service revenue.
Ensure compliance with manufacturer guidelines, HSE regulations, and company policies
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
- 15-20 years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong technical knowledge of generators, forklifts/material handling, and commercial vehicles.
- Proven ability to lead teams, prioritize tasks, and manage customer expectations.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in using ERP/service management systems is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license.
