Job Summary:
The Store Controller / Storekeeper is responsible for managing and overseeing the storage and inventory of materials, tools, and supplies. The role ensures that stock is accurately recorded, stored securely, and issued in a timely manner to support the company’s operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming goods and materials.
- Record all stock movements (receipts, issues, returns) accurately in inventory systems or manual logs.
- Ensure proper storage and labeling of items based on type, expiry date, or category.
- Maintain minimum and maximum stock levels and notify purchasing for reorders.
- Conduct regular and periodic physical stock counts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the store/warehouse area.
- Monitor stock for damage, expiry, or obsolescence and report accordingly.
- Prepare reports on inventory levels, slow-moving items, and material consumption.
- Comply with safety regulations and ensure safe handling of hazardous materials.
- Collaborate with procurement, production, and logistics teams for stock-related matters.
Job Requirements
Qualifications & Skills:
- High school diploma or technical certificate; diploma in logistics or warehouse management is a plus.
- Proven experience (2+ years) in warehouse or storekeeping roles.
- Strong numerical and organizational skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in recording.
- Strong computer skills (Excel, Word).
- Physical ability to lift and move items (as required).
- Preferred Familiarity with ERP or inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Odoo).
