Job Description
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Researching and identifying prospective suppliers.
- Liaising with internal project teams and maintaining strong supplier relations.
- Evaluating products and suppliers according to key business criteria.
- Preparing proposals, requesting quotes, and negotiating purchase terms and conditions.
- Preparing and issuing purchase orders and agreements.
- Monitoring supplier performance and resolving issues and concerns.
- Inspecting and evaluating the quality of purchased items and resolving shortcomings.
- Use computer software to track goods from origin to delivery
- Work on forecasts and inventories, keeping an accurate record of the process, and analyzing performance
- Monitoring the shipments in the pipeline and the expected arrival dates to Egyptian ports.
- Collaborate with the procurement manager to be aware of the work processes and procedures.
- Place purchase orders to suppliers according to the instructions and forms of each supplier
- Add purchase orders on the GP system
- Arrange with shipping agents the collections of orders, consolidate orders and handle receiving the shipments
- Coordinate with suppliers and shipping agents the issuing of required shipping documents
- Follow up shipping and clearance & handle local purchases.
- Update Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) records of each order
- Keep Purchase Order (PO) records
Job Requirements
- Bachelor degree in any discipline
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar position
- Fluent spoken & written English
- Solid communication skills, Critical Thinking, and exceptional analytical skills, Persuasion
- Report writing abilities
- High typing speed (Arabic & English)
- Very Good usage of Excel, WinWord and PowerPoint, and database software.
