Compact is seeking a full-time emerging professional Mechanical BIM Engineer to join our office in New Cairo. We are looking for team players who are excited about working in an innovation-rich construction environment focused on introducing novel approaches to construction.
What Does This Role Involve?
- As part of a dynamic, multi-skilled, and small team, your responsibilities as Mechanical BIM Engineer
- Develop HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Suppression design documents from concept to detailed design and from tender drawings to shop drawings.
- Perform analysis and calculations for HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection network designs.
- Study and validate the project contract documents (project design drawings, specs, BOQ, etc.).
- Preparation of contents for technical reports, including narratives, calculations, and illustrations.
- Supervise issuance of shop drawings as well as coordination drawings between different disciplines by drafters.
Job Requirements
What Are We Looking for in a Candidate?
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 4+ years of MEP construction experience with working knowledge in medium-to-mega construction projects.
- Demonstrated success in the full project life cycle from concept to commissioning/installation
- Proficient with MS Office, AutoCAD, Revit MEP & industry specialized software.
- Possess excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills to be able to effectively communicate and report at all levels
- Revit experience in the Development of IFC-LOD 400 Project Information Models (PIMs).
- Experienced in BIM Clash Avoidance & Clash-Detection.
- Knowledge of International BIM standards.
- Navisworks experience.
