JOB DESCRIPTION OF A LAWYER
There are different duties / responsibilities of a Lawyer working in a Company which are to be performed and fulfilled by him during his job and the same duties / responsibilities are mentioned as under:
- Representing the Company at any forum and advising it on all of its Legal Issues.
- Negotiating different issues of the Company with the Government Departments.
- Applying and completing the process of NOC for any newly formed Branch Office.
- To deal with different disputes of the Company pending in any Police Station.
- Defending any representative of the Company in any dispute at any forum.
- Drafting different Rules and Regulations for the Company according to the Law and instructions of the Management.
- Dealing with all the different Law Enforcement Agencies of Egypt in regard of the Security Issues of the Chinese Officials of the Company.
- Assisting the Management of the Company on the Visa Issues and other different matters of the Interior Ministry of Egypt and the Home Department of the Government of the Cairo.
- Attending Court hearings of different cases of the Company and preparing for the same beforehand.
- Preparing contracts & other legal documents for the Company.
- Negotiating different matters of the Company with other Parties because all the cases of the Company will not end up in favor of the Company in the Court.
- Explaining the Law and giving general Legal advice to any Department of the Company.
- Settling disputes and supervising different matters of different Branches of the Company.
- Researching and gathering evidence for different cases.
- Analyzing different Legal Documents.
Job Requirements
- Law degree for a top university in Egypt,major preferably in corporate law
- Experience in corporate/commercial law and contract negotiations.
- Have spent some time in a law firm.
- Familiarity with laws relating to general corporate and commercial, employment, competition, intellectual property, privacy, litigation, anti-corruption, consumer protection.
- Excellent logical and analytical mind.
- Independent at work while being able to work collaboratively at all levels and across functions.
- Highly motivated.
- Excellent English communication skills (written and oral).
- Resourceful, ability to adjust to changing requirements, schedules and priorities in a fast paced environment.Ability to provide succinct advice regarding legal matters.
- Possess commercial acumen and thinking.
- Ability to influence stakeholders across many levels.
