Job Description
The Learning Support Teacher (LSA) is responsible for identifying and supporting students with additional learning needs. This role involves working closely with classroom teachers, parents, and specialists to develop and implement strategies and programs that promote student success and inclusion.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess students to identify learning needs and barriers to achievement.
Develop Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and monitor student progress.
Provide targeted instruction or interventions in literacy, numeracy, and study skills.
Work collaboratively with classroom teachers to adapt lessons and teaching strategies.
Support students in both inclusive classroom settings and in small-group or one-on-one environments.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in education or related field.
- Additional qualifications in Special Education, Inclusion, or Learning Support.
- Valid teaching license/certification.
