Job Description

Located in the USA, Road Heroes is a dynamic and rapidly growing company dedicated to delivering excellence in the logistics service industry. We are expanding our operations and seeking to hire a dedicated Accountant / Financial Analyst who, while based in Egypt, has a comprehensive understanding of U.S. accounting standards and practices.

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will be an expert in U.S. accounting regulations, including GAAP, tax laws, and specific practices such as bonus depreciation. This role involves maintaining our financial records, conducting audits, and generating financial reports to support our decision-making and compliance efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate financial records and perform reconciliations of ledger accounts.
  • Oversee bookkeeping activities, including accounts payable and receivable.
  • Conduct thorough audits of financial activities to ensure compliance with U.S. accounting standards and regulations.
  • Prepare detailed financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, perform variance analysis, and recommend financial actions.
  • Stay informed on the latest U.S. tax laws and accounting practices, such as bonus depreciation and other tax incentives, ensuring our company's compliance and optimization of financial strategies.
  • Collaborate with the U.S. team to align financial strategies and practices.
  • Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting.

Job Requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field. A Master’s degree or CPA certification is highly advantageous.
  • Proven experience in accounting or financial analysis, with a strong emphasis on U.S. accounting practices.
  • Deep understanding of U.S. GAAP, IRS regulations, and specific U.S. accounting concepts like bonus depreciation.
  • Proficiency in Quickbooks accounting software and MS Excel is a MUST.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI or Tableau is a BIG PLUS.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Fluent in English to effectively communicate with the U.S.-based team and understand U.S. accounting terminology and regulations.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a global team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPA or equivalent certification highly preferred.
  • Experience with international financial reporting and compliance.
  • Knowledge of U.S. financial markets and investment analysis.
