Job Description

Proficiency in reviewing (Material Submittals c/w optimal selections / Schematics, delivery schedules, Calculations, Design Specifications, Inspection plans, reports, charts, method of field assembly statements, RFIs, technical proposals RFPs, quality, safety plans, project’s MEP shop drawings for approval and any document related to the construction details to conform compliance with the requirements of the project..
Ability to supervise, design review & implementation of a wide range of projects with different quality requirements.
Evaluating quotations, contracts, tender’s documentation and vendor data in respect of electro-mechanical works on basis of making the required (BOQs) and Equipment procurement, starting / completion times.
Familiar with optimal selection criteria of different (MEP, HVAC & INFRA) systems, Material, equipment and field devices related to calculations, significant specifications and according to Value Engineering principles.
Plan and manage site work activities including all design drawing to meet project, client requirements and maintain the company’s quality standard.
Co-ordinate properly with other departments or disciplines to ensure quality of work is in compliance with contract requirements, good practice and only approved materials are used.
Review all Contractor’s submittals & Contractor's staff qualifications related to his discipline addressing Method Statements, Project Quality Plans (PQP), Safety Plans, Schedules and compliance with Project objectives.
Maintain a safe and secure job site environment.
Participate in assessing and technical selections of MEP Equipment, service providers, suppliers and manufacturers those would deliver materials to site for conformance with approved samples and mock-ups.
 Raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and Discrepancy Reports (DRs), when activities deviate from the Contract Specifications or normal Construction industry practices to undertake remedial action responses.
Able to suggest alternate materials in case of non-availability of the required materials occur. 
Make sure that all performed and involved running electro-mechanical construction activities and all site inspections are carried out as per intervention points marked in the approved Inspection and Testing Plans.
Ability to perform (Ideally Value Engineering Experience) and provide alternatives. 
Monitoring and tracking of project work progress at sites, site inspectors / engineer’s performance and /or delays and to take corrective steps so as to meet Projects deadlines, schedules and costs.
Ensure client criteria and scopes are met by all engineering disciplines with complete coordination on site. 
Prepare and submit periodic daily / weekly / monthly progress & technical reports and documentation for the assigned working area (of activity) and Performance indicators to the client and project management.

Plan and direct engineering development of methods and procedures for start-up, witnessing of testing, design Validation and verification of commissioning and performance of various mechanical systems & plants.

Job Requirements

Proven working experience in mechanical engineering
Working experience with product lifecycle management (PLM), finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD)
Hands-on experience with computer-aided engineering (CAM) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAE)
Familiarity with 2D or 3D engineering design and manufacturing tools (e.g., AutoCAD, ProE or other)
Adequate knowledge of engineering analysis tools (ANSYS, ProMechanica or similar)
Mathematical computing and analysis tools knowledge (Matlab, Excel, LabView etc)
Solid understanding of core concepts including mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics, materials science etc.
Creativity and analytical skills
Ability to communicate technical knowledge in a clear and understandable manner
Technical writing skills
BSc degree in Engineering
