Job Description
- Designs furniture for manufacturing, according to the knowledge of design trends, offerings of competition, production costs, the capability of production facilities, and characteristics of company's market: Confers with production, design, and sales personnel to obtain design suggestions and customer orders.
- Present product ideas to relevant team members for brainstorming
- Prepares and directs preparation of blueprints containing manufacturing specifications, such as dimensions, kind of wood, and upholstery fabrics to be used in manufacturing.
- Create detailed shop drawings and specify the nature, quantity, and quality of materials required and select suitable materials (wood, metal, accessories, paint)
- Produce cutting lists needed for furniture and woodwork production.
- Familiarity with a reasonable amount of industry techniques in a way that enables you to calculate product manufactures
- Follow up the production phases with technicians.
Job Requirements
- he applicant must have a meaningful experience in furniture design, high attention to detail and communication skills.
- Bachelor Degree of Faculty of Applied Arts or equivalent
- At least 3 year of experience in Furniture/Product Manufacturing
- Well-organized.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, 3D Max, Rhino, or other design programs
- Creative problem-solving skills
- Supervising orders in the production processes, ensuring quality work is done in a safe, efficient time.
- Request All needed material for the orders.
- Manage all coworkers to develop plans that improve production, costs.
- Drawing up production schedules and budgets for projects.
- Experience in Quality Control
- Good communication skills
- Able to work comfortably in a fast-paced environment.
