Job Description
- Proactively maintaining and developing all infrastructure technologies related to Linux
- Managing the Linux engineering aspects of systems administration-related solutions for various projects and operational needs
- Providing input that aims to improve the stability, security, efficiency, and scalability of the environment
- Maintaining best practices on managing systems and services across all environments
- Fault finding, analysis, and of logging information for reporting of performance exceptions
- Proactively monitoring system performance and capacity planning
- Managing, coordinating, and implementing software upgrades, patches, hot fixes on servers, workstations, and network hardware
- Creating and modifying scripts or applications to perform tasks
- Collaborating with other teams and team members to develop automation strategies and deployment processes
Job Requirements
- Previous working experience as a Linux Administrator for 3+ years
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or similar relevant degree
- In depth knowledge of Linux: RedHat, CentOS, Debian, etc.
- Hands-on experience with installing, configuring, and maintaining services, such as Bind, Apache, MySQL, nginx, and GitLab, etc
- Familiarity with VMWare and SAN management and concepts
- Familiarity with load balancing, firewalls, etc.
- Experience with virtualization technologies
- Expert in Shell, Perl, and/or Python scripting
- Solid knowledge of protocols, such as DNS, HTTP, LDAP, SMTP and SNMP
- DevOps experience is a plus
- Strong problem solving and communication skills
